Framework Agreement for Establishing Free Trade between India and Thailand

This is an agreement entered between India and Thailand in furtherance of Free Trade Agreement
Negotiations commenced in January 2004 for establishing a Free Trade Area (zero duty imports) for goods by 2010. FTA negotiations on Trade in Services and Investments are yet to conclude

• India and Thailand agreed to give tariff concessions up on 82 items in 2004

• India-Thailand Trade Negotiating Committee (TNC) has been constituted to carry forward the programmes as per the Framework Agreement.

• Four meetings of the TNC have been held so far.
