India’s Current Engagement of FTAs and PTAs

Joint Study Group between India and Republic of Korea and between India and Japan

Joint Study Group (JSG) was proposed between India and Korea in October 2004 following the visit of President Roh’s visit to examine the feasibility of a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between India and Republic of Korea.

Similar initiative was taken for a JSG between India and Japan.

Not much progress has been made in the negotiations
