India’s Current Engagement of FTAs and PTAs

India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Framework Agreement

India signed Framework Agreement with Gulf Cooperation Council consisting of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on 25th August 2004. The Objective is to promote economic co-operation in various fields including exploring the feasibility of a FTA between India and GCC.

The Department of Commerce has commissioned three studies in areas of goods, services and investment to proceed further in this matter.
