Developmental Schemes
Advisory and Extension Services
- Provide free advisory and extension services to rubber growers on all aspects of rubber cultivation, production, processing and marketing and simultaneously attends to implementation of various development schemes as well
Schemes for Assisting planting and upkeep
- This scheme is implemented by the Board for assisting new planting by providing required planting material, Procurement and supply of seeds of cover crops, and insurance for rubber plantations
Scheme for Improving Tapping
- Visits plantations and demonstrates to growers and tappers the scientific method of tapping, rain guarding, yield stimulation and sheet processing. Their services are free of cost.
Schemes for Assisting Rubber Growers’ Cooperatives
- This scheme aimed at helping co-operatives through financial assistance for strengthening rubber processing and rubber marketing activities and giving loan for strengthening marketing infrastructure
Schemes for promoting Rubber Producers Societies (RPSs)
- This scheme is trying to enhance the Rubber producer’s societies (RPSs) by providing various services like Technology Transfer, establishing eco friendly group processing facilities by RPS and giving financial assistance for RPSs/ self help groups for adopting Apiculture
Schemes for Assisting Companies in the RPS Sector
- This scheme aimed to improve the companies in the RPS sector through financial assistance, grant in lieu of share capital and 5% interest subsidy
Training
- Training and Technical Consultancy Department’s Training Programmes.
- Training in Technology Transfer Centres run by Model Rubber Producers’ Societies/Group Processing Centres
- Training of Bee Keeping
- Training in Leadership Skills
- Training of Growers of Non-traditional Area
Schemes of General Nature
Board aimed to implement bank loans, awards, special attention for tribal development and empowerment of women etc.
Subsidy linked schemes
Scheme for Popularizing use of low volume sprayers
- Financial Assistance to RPSs/Companies in the RPS sector/Rubber co-operative marketing societies
- The quantum of financial assistance per spraying equipment will be limited to 50% of the actual cost of the machine paid
Schemes for Assisting Large Growers
- For setting up/modernization of facilities for making RSS grades
- Financial assistance is @ 25% of the cost of the items
Eligible group are all large rubber growers registered with the Board
