Production & Distribution of Planting Material

• To enhance the production and supply of planting materials through Demonstration Cum Seed Production (DSP) 
• Main programmes are
  • Setting up of Coconut nurseries to produce quality seedlings
  • Aid to registered/private/approved coconut nurseries
  • Establishment of Regional coconut nursery
  • Aid to establish nuclear seed garden

Market Promotion

• To enhance the market, Board introduce services like surveys and evaluation studies, market information and intelligence service.

Transfer of Technology

• CDB has been taking various activities like grant in aid to publication, exhibition, fairs, workshops, training etc

Subsidy linked schemes

Expansion of Area under Coconut

• New planting assistance @ Rs. 8,000 per hectare paid in two annual installments

Integrated Farming for Productivity

• Through this programme board aimed to remove diseased palms, laying out of demonstration plots, and assistance for organic manure units

Technology Demonstration

• To promote the technological implementation
• Board gives financial assistance for various processes in transfer of technology

Financial assistance under Technology Mission

• Assistance to entrepreneurs for setting up/modernizing/ expanding integrated coconut processing units and promoting value added coconut based products
