Developmental Schemes

Information upgradation – Production forecast for cashew

Honorarium to the Scientists of State Agricultural Universities involved in the execution of the programme will be paid @Rs.1000/- per district and for the Statisticians Rs.2500/-per head, in addition to the wages to the enumerators of Rs.50/- per farmer

Publicity for crop promotion for technology dissemination

  • National Seminar on cashew
  • State level Seminar/ Workshop on cashew
  • Exhibition, field days, printing of literatures

The cost will be released to the concerned Research institutes/ development department by the DCCD.

Subsidy linked programme

Replanting of senile cashew plantations

The planting materials required for replanting should be obtained either from the concerned Corporations or from the State Agriculture Universities/Research Institutes and recognized Private Nurseries by the Directorate of Cashew nut & Cocoa Development. The pattern of assistance will be 50% of the cost subject to the maximum of Rs.9000 / ha

Technology dissemination – Front Line Technology Demonstration

The minimum area for Front line technology demonstration will be one hectare.
Pattern of assistance will be Rs.30,000/- per ha for 3 years under conventional methods.
An assistance of Rs. 40,000 per ha for 3 years will be provided for organic cultivation.
An amount of Rs. 30,000 per plot for three years will also be provided for intercropping in normal density plantations.

The institution which is supervising and implementing the demonstration plots in the land owned by corporations will be provided  with an assistance of Rs.2000/- per plot of 1 ha towards contingency charges for transportation including hiring of vehicles.

Demonstration for  popularization on utilization of cashew apple
 

The cost of the equipments for processing cashew apple of 1000 kg comes to Rs.46000/- which will be provided to the Research institutions. The number of trainees should be a minimum of 10 women in each training.

Technology dissemination Demonstrations – Ryot participatory demonstration

To identify innovative farmers in consultation with State Agricultural  Universities and demonstrate latest scientific production technologies in the various farmers field. Pattern of assistance will be limited to 75% of Rs.30,000/-  in the case of conventional method of cultivation and 75% of Rs.40,000 for organic farming.

Schemes for Cocoa

Technology dissemination - Front Line Technology Demonstration

To demonstrate latest scientific production technologies with clones of   high yielding varieties of cocoa. The pattern of assistance will be 100% of the project cost for the establishment of the plot excluding labour charges and limited to Rs.30,000/- per ha. The funds will be released to the Universities/ Res. institutions by the Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development

Pest and disease management – Survey, surveillance and Training

The cost for this program will be released to the Research institutions by the Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development as per the project of the participating Research institutions

Publicity for crop promotion for technology dissemination.

This will be taken up by the DCCD in association with development departments/ Research Institutions of the States.

Technology dissemination Demonstrations – Ryot participatory demonstrations

The demonstrations should be in the farmers field by laying demonstration plots of 1 ha extent consisting of 500 plants with the association of cocoa Research institutes. Pattern of assistance will be 75% of Rs.30,000

VCA: Brief Of scheme

Venture Capital:

To promote investments in agri-business projects with the participation of banks. Equity participation in agri-projects upto 10% of the total project cost, or 26% of the total project equity or Rs.75 lakhs whichever is lower.

Project Development Facility (PF):

To provide financial assistance to farmers, Producer Groups, Agripreneurs, Units in Agri-Export Zones, Organizations and Agriculture graduates for the preparation of bankable Detailed Project Reports (DPR).
     
Eligibility:
Project should be

  • Agriculture or allied sector
  • Provide assured market to farmers/ producer groups
  • Encourage farmers to diversify into high value crops
  • Accepted by banks for grant of term loan
