Agricultural Sector

Short term credit

For farmers owing one acre of land with allied activity.

To meet the investment and working capital requirement for mushroom cultivation in the initial year and mushroom spawn production

Persons People with adequate experience in mushroom cultivation.

Need based

Loans for marketing agricultural produce

To help farmers store their produce in an approved godown or warehouse or in farmers’ residence to prevent distress sale by facilitating renewal of crop loans

All categories of farmers having agricultural produce in custody. Some banks limit this facility to farmers availing crop loans from the same bank.

The loan amount will be 60-75 % of the value of the produce with subject to a maximum of Rs. 5.00 lakhs.

Loans for exporting agricultural produce

For purchase/processing/
manufacturing/packing of agro products for exports including purchase of fertilizers, pesticides, other inputs, post harvest expenses for making shipment.

Export Oriented Units (EOUs) having expertise/technical know-how and having Firm Orders/Contracts/LCs.

Need based

Loans for development of horticulture/plantation crops

All capital cost for establishing/maintaining estates, nurseries, plantations, nurseries and orchards. 

Only owner cultivators or permanent tenants or as lease holders for reasonably long period are eligible.

For a maximum of 50% of the value of the asset created or land

Loans for forestry development

For the development of nurseries and raising forestry trees.

Individual or groups having land ownership or perpetual tenancy are eligible.

Need based

Loans for minor irrigation

Purchase of electrical motors, oil engines, pump sets, pipelines, solar pump sets, installation of drip/sprinkler irrigation systems.

Only owner cultivators are eligible.

Up to Rs. 50,000/- 100 % of the cost of the asset / project cost is provided as loan. Above Rs. 50,000/- upto 85 % of the cost of the asset / project is given as loan.

Loans for farm mechanization

For purchase of tractors, power tillers, trailers, combine harvester, grain threshers, sprayers, dusters, ploughs, drills, mechanical weeders or any other modern agricultural machinery.

Farmers owning mare than minimum acreage of (for power tillers 2 acres, for tractors 4 acres for > 35 HP and 6 acres for above 35 HP and for combine 8 acres) perennially irrigated lands are eligible.

Up to Rs. 50,000/- 100 % of the cost of the asset is provided as loan. Above Rs. 50,000/- up to 85 % of the cost of the asset provided as loan.

Up to Rs .50,000/- 100 % of the cost of the asset / project cost is provided as loan. Above Rs. 50,000/- upto 85 % of the cost of the asset/project is given as loan.

Loans for purchasing agricultural

Loan to small and marginal farmers / landless labourers for purchase of agricultural land.

Small/marginal farmers, tenants, share-croppers owning less than 5 acres of unirrigated / 2.5 acres irrigated land in their own name and landless agricultural labourers, with record of prompt repayment of loans are eligible to avail this loan.

Maximum loan amount under the scheme will be Rs. 5 lakh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Animal Husbandry Sector

Short term credit

Loans for poultry units

For establishing / improving layer / broiler farms and hatcheries including purchase of chicks, feeds, medicines, equipments, feed mixing plants, construction of poultry sheds, also for rearing ducks / turkeys / quails.

Person having experience / knowledge in poultry.

Up to Rs.3 lakhs for every 5000 bird planned to be reared. A maximum loan will be Rs. 15 lakhs. Up to Rs. 50,000 – 100 % finance is given. Above Rs. 50,000 - 85% finance is given.

Loans for sheep and goat rearing

For purchase of sheep, goats suited and construction of stalls for housing the animal.

Small and marginal farmers and agricultural labourers desirous of undertaking sheep/goat rearing

Need based

Loans for dairy units

Purchase of good quality high yielding milch animals, viz., cows/buffaloes or cross bred cows for milk production

Individuals undertaking dairying

Need-based loan is provided.

Loans for piggery unit

For breeding and/or rearing of pigs.

Farmers/agricultural labourers and individuals desirous of undertaking piggery as a commercial/ subsidiary activity

Need based.

Loans for bee-keeping

To meet fixed costs like purchase of colonies, bee-boxes, honey extractors, smokers, bee knife etc and recurring costs like purchase of foundation sheets, sugar, medicines, gloves, etc.

Small and marginal farmers/ agricultural labourers who are trained in bee keeping

Medium term credit

Loans for rural godowns and cold storage

Construction, expansion, modernization and renovation of rural godowns

Godowns with capacity up to a maximum of 10000 MT capacity will be financed under the scheme.

2/3 rd of the cost of estimation will be allowed as a loan amount under the scheme with the same not exceeding Rs. 1200 per ton of storage capacity

Loan for rainwater harvesting

Financing farmers for harvesting rain water and storing it for use at times of water scarcity.

Farmers having land holding of 0.50 acre or more are eligible.

Maximum loan amount is Rs.88,000.

Loan for purchase of vehicles for  agricultural purpose

For purchase of brand new light and heavy motor vehicles for agricultural activities.

Agricultural cultivating in his own land or engaged in allied activities such as dairy, poultry, sericulture, fish farming, etc.

 Purchase of heavy vehicles for big farmers owning at least 15 acres of perennially irrigated land.

Suitable for semi arid and arid regions. Waste lands can be utilised for cultivation of Jetropha.

 

Agri. Loan to non resident Indians
