Milk Products

Though India is the largest milk producing country in the world its position in terms of per capita milk availability is very low. In India milk is traditionally being consumed in the form of liquid milk, ghee, curd, butter and sweets. One important change that has occurred is the production of some of the western type of products such as table butter, ice cream, milk powder and cheese. The products made from milk are classified into six asgiven below.
